Baby Dhal Puree
This baby dhal is a lovely nourishing meal for your little one. Red lentils are packed with iron and protein, and they cook down into the smoothest puree. The pumpkin and veges add natural sweetness and plenty of vitamins and fibre.
Ingredients
¾ cup water
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 courgette, finely chopped
200g pumpkin
2 Tbsp dried red lentils
Method
Combine water, carrot, courgette, pumpkin and lentils in a pot. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until veges are tender.
Blend until smooth.
Spoon into ice trays and freeze.
Serving Suggestion
Serve on a preloaded spoon — the lentils give this a lovely thick, creamy texture.
