Apple Puree

Apple is a lovely first fruit for babies with its natural sweetness. It provides vitamin C and fibre. This simple puree cooks up quickly and freezes well, so you can always have some on hand for mealtimes or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples

Method

  1. Peel, decore and chop 2 apples into small pieces.

  2. Simmer in a pot of water until soft, around 15–20 minutes.

  3. Drain water and blend in a food processor until smooth.

  4. Spoon into ice trays and freeze.

Serving Suggestion

Serve on a preloaded spoon, or mix with a little cinnamon once your baby is ready for spices.
