Parsnip Puree

Parsnip is a great source of fibre, vitamin C, folate and potassium. It has a lovely natural sweetness that babies really enjoy. This easy puree is a great way to introduce your little one to root veges, and it freezes well so you can batch cook ahead of time.

Ingredients

  • 1–2 parsnips

Method

  1. Chop 1–2 parsnips into rounds.

  2. Steam in a pot of water or in a baby food steamer until tender, around 10–12 minutes.

  3. Drain the water and blend until smooth.

  4. Spoon into ice trays and freeze.
