Tofu Puree

Tofu is a brilliant plant-based protein and iron source for your baby and is also a key allergen to introduce early. It’s mild in flavour and blends into a lovely smooth puree, or can be served mashed straight from the packet.

Ingredients

  • 300g tofu

Method

  1. Cut open the packet and drain the liquid.

  2. Cut into pieces.

  3. Pan fry on low for around 2–3 minutes on either side. Use a little olive oil if needed.

  4. Mash with the back of a fork or blend in a food processor until smooth.

  5. Note: can also be mashed and served straight from the packet.

Serving Suggestion

Serve on a preloaded spoon, or mix with a vege puree like kumara or pumpkin for extra flavour.
