Pumpkin Puree

Pumpkin is a wonderful first food for babies thanks to its natural sweetness and smooth texture. It’s packed with vitamins and blends up beautifully. This is a great one to batch cook and have stocked in the freezer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin

Method

  1. Peel then chop around 1 cup of pumpkin into cubes.

  2. Steam in a pot of water or in a baby food steamer until tender, around 15 minutes.

  3. Drain the water and blend until smooth.

  4. Spoon into ice trays and freeze.
